During the summer 2008, I worked as ornithologist within the biodiversity assessment of Cusuco National Park, in Honduras, in a project led by Operation Wallacea. It has been my first and only tropical experience. It has been unusual for me, used to the open spaces of deserts, seas and mountains to live two months in the forest, with the horizon being only a rare sight. The cloud forest that characterized most of the park is the home of a rich biodiversity, including several endemism. You can download a report of the expedition here.
